This is a beautiful and serene location at about 5 km away on the way to Srisailam. There is a traditional belief that at this place God Siva appeared to a potter devotee in Atika (piece of Pot). Hence this place was named as Atikeswaram which later became Hatakeswaram. There is a temple stone structure dedicated to Sri Hatakeswara Swamy that dates back to 11th-13th Centuries A.D.
