30 April 2015 Tirumala:
From 1st May 2015 to 6th May 2015 Kareeristhi Varunajapa Parjanya Shanthi yagam for six days will take place at Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham in Tirumala Hills.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Executive Officer Dr D.Sambasiva Rao will participate in the inaugural ceremony on Friday which will begin with Mahasankalpam by 10.00 am. 32 ritwiks (Priest who performs Yajna) hailing from all the states in the country will take part in the religious fete and perform Yaga for six days to satisfy the Rain God to shower good rains.
The yagam will end on 6th May in Swamy Pushkarini in Tirumala where Avabhrideshthi is performed with Purnahuti by 12.00 noon.
