14 April 2015 Guntur: The replicas of Ananda Nilayam Vimanam at Tirumala and presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara was created at Police Parade Ground in Guntur.
On Tuesday “Astadala Pada Pamaradhana” Seva – the weekly seva was performed after performing the daily rituals of Suprabhatam, Thomala and Archana.
Importance of Astadala Pada Padmaradhana :
After the Second bell Astadala Pada Padmaradhana is conducted. In 1984 on the occasion of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams Golden Jubilee Year this was first introduced to Srivaru in Srivari Temple, when 108 lotuses made of gold was denoted by a Muslim Devotee.
The archaka starts will the puja by offering arti stick and lit the lamp to the main deity. While recites the divine names of the Lord, one golden lotus is offered at the holy feet of the lord.
after completion the archana to Mula Virat, archana is offered to Lakshmi Devi and Padmavati Ammavaru. Later Ratha Harati is offered first, followed by regular Harati.
