Pushpayagam Was Performed In Sri Kalyana Venakateswara Swamy Temple

On Tuesday the annual festival of Pushpayagam was performed in Sri Kalyana Venakateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram near tirupati. More than seven tonnes of wide selection of vibrant flowers including fragrant, decorative and traditional flowers are used for this festival. The utsava murthies were given floral bath till they are fully submerged till the neck.The flowers like lilies, jasmine, roses, mogali etc were the flowers used for he flower festival. The whole ritual offered a holy feast to the eyes and the magnificent of Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy.

Earlier within the day the Snapana Tirumanjanam has been carried out to the deities. Later in the midday, the procession of various varieties of flowers happened from Vahana Mandapam to temple earlier than the floral tribute was performed.

History Says that this festival is usually performed to save the earth from natural disaster such as Earth quakes, Cyclones, Epidemics and appease the Lord to save the life humanity, flora and fauna from all the catastrophes.
