Hyderabad Snow World is an amusement park that was inaugurated on 28 January 2004, and its Located beside Indira Park and along the Hussein Sagar Lake Hyderabad, Telangana. The park is within an area of about 2 acres which was built in collaboration with the local tourism department, it’s indeed a wonderful world in India, India’s first and the 3rd biggest in the world, after the one in Malaysia and Singapore. Ocean Park MultiTech Ltd. took the 2 acres (0.81 ha) plot on a 33-year lease from the Government of Andhra Pradesh presently Telangana, the facility was designed by Nitish Roy, a well-known Indian art director, production designer and architect, it was built in collaboration with the tourism department in Hyderabad.
The Snow Park is the biggest in the world with an elephantine area of 2 acres. It is the most popular and the most crowded tourist attraction in the city of Hyderabad, Most impressive feature of this park is that the artificial snow that is produced using various technologies is made up of mineral water made in Australia, and is filtered four times to make it absolutely safe for the children. Two or three tons of snow is loaded onto the snow –bed every day.
The park can accommodate a total of 2400 visitors in a day. As we enter the snow park, they provide us with Warm jackets, Gloves, Waterproof shoes and a cup of hot soup to keep us warm from the cold ambiance. Every visitor gets acclimatized to lower temperatures in a stepwise manner i.e. from 200 C (680 F), then 0C and then subzero temperatures. This method is approved internationally. For an hour 300 visitors at a time can enter the Cryozone area of snow world which maintains -50 constantly, CryoZone area includes a Kids Snow Play Area, Sleigh Slide, Snow Merry-Go-Round, Snow Sculptures, Snow Basket Ball, Snow Mountain, Snow Valley Ball, Snow Dancing, Ice hotel etc. and also Snow Fall in every session, a few months ago they have included a new feature i.e. The visitors are exposed in snowfall session for 10 minutes to one hour, prior to their entry to the park.
Children below 2 feet in height are strictly not allowed. Gadgets like Mobile Phones and cameras are prohibited in the park. Special permission has to be obtained for getting cameras inside. Entry fees are purely based on height parameters.
