Sri Rama Navami Special Panakam Recipe | Panagam preparation

Panakam is a refreshingly cool drink. It is one of the most sought after Naivedyam during Sri Rama Navami in South India. This drink is similar to most of the ready-to-mix fruit juices available. Panakam is a natural alternative that is very easy to prepare. The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients for 1 serving:
Ginger powder
Water 1 cup
Crushed green cardamom 2
Lemon juice 1 ½ teaspoon
Jaggery powder ¼ cup

Panakam or Panagam Recipe

Panakam Recipe Process:
Mix powdered jaggery with water. Set it aside for about twenty minutes.
Constantly stir jiggery and with. This allows the jaggery to evenly mix with water.
Remove all impurities by straining the mixture of jaggery and water.
To this jiggery solution, add a pinch of ginger powder, lemon juice and green cardamom. Stir the solution well for all the ingredients to mix well.
Panakam can be served in normal temperature or in cold temperature served with ice.
