The Rameshwaram temple has Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. The temple is about 20 Kms from Shadnagar on National Highway No. 7 in the Hyderabad – Kurnool line. The place itself is considered sacred as Sri Rama known as Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy in the land had traveled this area while in Aranyavasa. Sri Rama had installed the Shiva Linga here and had worshipped it him self. Hence Sri Rama is known as Ramalingeswara Swamy in this village.
The Shiva Linga is believed to be increasing in size every year. This makes the temple unique and special. It is also believed that sages renowned in the Hindu Mythology visit the temple in the dark of the nights to perform puja. The Goddess, wife of Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy also exists in the temple on the nearby hill. Sivarathri is celebrated every year in the temple in a grand manner and devotees from all aspects of life come and seek blessings of the Lord. On Shivarathri Sathya naraya vratham pooja is performed in the afternoon. Kalyanotsavam, Rathostvam and agni gundaala seva are performed in a grand manner.
Lord Ganesh, Ammavaru, Lord Subramanya Swamy and Abhaya Anjaneya Swamy deities are also installed in this Shiva Temple.
Kumkum pooja are performed to Parvathi Ammavaru in the morning.
