Seeing the 12 temples of Delhi from Srila Prabhupada come to life, worshipers in the satellite city of Ghaziabad opened the number seven temple. The four-story temple and the fifteen-bedroom guesthouse were built with the help of the Arora family in London, who donated land to one of the most prosperous areas of Uttar Pradesh. Built in pink Jaipur stone and with carved wooden altars, Italian marble floors, gold leaf ceiling patterns, chandeliers and a spiral staircase, this is a perfect home for Jagannath, Lord of the World. ‘Universe. With his brothers, Baladeva and Subhadra, he finally relaxed after traveling 11,000 km to Indian Ratha-Yatras over the years.
8,000 people welcomed the Lord into their new home, including devotees, prominent Indian leaders, VIPs and locals. The mayor of Ghaziabad showed his support by opening a new public square outside the temple called “Hare Krishna Square”, located on “Bhaktivedanta Swami Road”. or “Hare krsna Marg”
The celebrations ended in an appropriately tall style, with a helicopter flying overhead and pouring a torrent of rose petals over the temple, Hare Krishna Square and the inspired crowd.
But even if the flowers spread over them, the devotees of Ghaziabad were waiting for their next move. They thought they would focus on the reach of young people, since the city of Ghaziabad housed many of the best engineering faculties in India. And the new temple, with its BBT library and its large conference rooms, seminars and restaurants, was the perfect place to launch a bright future.
