Skandagiri Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple Timings, History, Sevas

This temple, also called as ‘Skandagiri temple’ is located at Padmaraonagar, about 2 km away from Secunderabad Railway Station. The word ‘Skandagiri’ means the hill of Lord Skanda, another name of Lord Subramanya Swamy. Lord Subramanya is the primary deity here, accompanied by Srivalli and Sridevasena. The other important sannidhis are Lord Sundaraganapathi, Ekambareshwarar (Lord Shiva) accompanied by Goddess Kamakshi, Sri Varadharaja Perumal with Goddess Sri Devi and Sri Bhudevi and Goddess Jayadurga. Sri Subramanyaswamy temple follows Tamil sampradaya in terms of rituals, however, celebrates important festivals as per both Tamil and Telugu calendars.

Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swami performed Sankustapana, Mahakumbabishekam and install main deity of this temple.

Devotees visit this famous temple in Hyderabad, Sri Subramanya temple especially on Tuesdays as it is important for both Sri Subramanya and Goddess Jayadurga.

A place well known for its historical importance and perfect splendor, Secunderabad is home to one of the most sacred and significant temples of Lord Murugan, Sri Subramanya Swamy temple at West Marredpally in Secunderabad. This temple visited by many number of people not only to offer their prayers to the Lord, but to get rid of illness as well, is dedicated to Lord Murugan, the fifth Arupadaiveedu. A very famous temple down south, the Sri Subramanya Swamy temple is a quintessence of enriching legacy, communal accord and prosperity of the state. It is also believed that Lord Murugan protects each and every part of the body of his devotees and even the powerful Navagrahas become inactive and quiescent due to his elegance.   1. I tried for advance booking for Homam, but the website is not accepting for login even though registration form filled up.
    Please update the same for the convenience of the devotees for advance booking for performing poojas at their convenience.
