Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple Darshan Timings, Poojas and Festivals

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple or Thiruvarangam is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Ranganatha, an avatar of Sri Maha Vishnu is located in Srirangam town in Tiruchirapalli District, Tamil Nadu. The temple covers an area of 155 acres with 50 shrines, 21 towers, 39 pavilions and many water tanks integrated into the temple compound. This temple is also known as Thiruvaranga Tirupati, Periyakoil, Bhoologa Vaikundam, Bhogamandabam and It is also the first of the 108 main Sri Vishnu temples (Divyadesams).

Devotees believe that those who get darshan here on Vaikunta Ekadasi and Dwadasi days will go to Vaikuntam (Heaven) and attain Moksha.

Opening at 6.00 AM and remains open until 9.00 PM

Facilities for Physically Challenged:
Special Entry for Physically Challenged people is provided by the temple.
Persons who are physically / mentally challenged, aged or terminally ill and who cannot walk are allowed for Darshan through a special entrance near the Sanctum. One dependent will be allowed along with them.
Battery car is in service for physically challenged and aged persons inside the temple premises free of cost.

Cloakroom Facilities:
A cloakroom is available near Garuda mandapam/mandapam where you can store all your belongings.

Srirangam Temple Dress Code:

The temple follows strict dress codes. Tank tops, sleeveless dresses, shorts, skirts are some of the dresses that are not allowed in this temple. People are invited to come in traditional dresses from India or to wear a headscarf to enter the temple. Some areas of the temple have restricted entry permits, and the sanctum sanctorum is only accessible to the priest. The general public can not touch the Lord’s main idol.
