The TTD has announced the 3 days annual Avatarotsavam of Tiruchanoor Sri Sunderaraja Swamy Temple will start from 6th July and comes to an end on 8th july 2015.
Avatarotsavam is a festival which is celebrated since the period of Mahants in this Sri Sunderaraja Swamy temple which is located in Tiruchanoor which is usually celebrated with the arrival of Sathabhisham star and concluding on Uttarabhadra star .
This temple is the first and oldest shrine which is located inside Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru temple at Tiruchanoor. Signifying the emergence of Lord Sri Sunderaraja Swamy this festival is celebrated in a grand manner.
As a part of this festival, every day there will be special pujas in this temple.
On first day morning Lord Sunderaraja Swamy will be offered Sahasranamarchana, between 10:30 am to 12 noon Kalyanotsavam to Padmavathi Ammavaru.
Special abhishekams will be performed to Lord Sri Sunderaraja Swamy between 2.00 pm to 3:30 pm at Mukha Mandapam which will be followed by Unjal seva in the evening from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
The processional deity of Lord Sri Sunderaraja Swamy will be taken for a procession on Peddasesha Vahanam between 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm along the four mada streets.
On the second day after all abhishekams the lord will be taken for a celestial ride on Hanumantha Vahanam in the evening, on the last day on Lord Sri Sunderaraja Swamy will ride on Garuda Vahanam.
