Nidanampadu is a small village near Adigoppula in Durgi Mandal of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. Goddess Sri Nidanampati Sri Lakshmi Ammavari is worshipped here.
At the place of worship there is a huge rock near a tree that symbolizes the Goddess. As per the prevailing traditions and customs, no temple is constructed there. However, facilities have been provided for the devotees. Sri Lakshmi Ammavari is believed to be a powerful Goddess.
As per legends, in 15th century a 12 year old girl name Yaganti Sri Laxmi conceived a baby cow by the divine power of Gomatha, the cow goddess, she had been worshipping. Her four brothers became furious and they burnt her alive at this site. Subsequently, realizing their cruelty, the villagers started worshipping Nidanampati Sri laxmi Devatha.
