Guwahati Navagraha Temple History:
At the end of the 18th century, it was built by Ahom King-Rajeswar Singha, son of Rudra Singha. A devastating earthquake in Assam tore the temple to pieces and the inner part of the temple was partially shattered. After that, it was rebuilt after some time. A temple tank was also built to provide water to the devotees who come to pay homage to the gods. The inner part of the temple, Garbhagriha, which was built with bricks, still exists in the complex.
