Kotappakonda Temple Timings: 5.30 am to 1.30 pm and 3.00 pm to 7.30 pm

Sri Trikoteswara Swamy Temple is located on a small hill in Kotappakonda, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. The temple is 11 kms from Narasaraopet and 16 kms from Chilakaluripet. Lord Shiva is the preceding deity in this temple and he is known as Sri Trikoteswara Swamy. One can see three peaks (Sikharas) and, hence, the temple is called “Trikoota Hills” and the lord seated here is known as Trikoteswara Swamy.

    Will anybody kindly advise me: ( we are aged 79 & 71 yrs ) ours will be the first visit to this temple.
    1) Is there any direct bus facility from Vijayawada to this temple area. ( how much time will it take )
    2) Will there be very HEAVY RUSH on 5th Feb ( MONDAY ), in view of Mahaasivaratri period.
    3) Or is it advisable to visit the next day, 6th Feb ( TUESDAY )

      On 5th there may not be that much or a minimum crowd only as Maha Shivarathri is on 13th Feb.
      So its better to visit after four or five days.
      How to reach –
      There are a number of buses available from vijayawada to Narasarao pet. Vijayawada depot number – 0866 2570005.
      Or from Vijayawada catch a bus to Guntur and from Guntur to Narasaraopet Pallevelugu RTC Busses are available for every 20 min – From 05.00 to 20.00 Hrs. its 15 kms from Guntur to Narasaraopet.
