Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple is located in the heart of Srikalahasti town and Lord Murugan is the Presiding Deity. Lord Muruga Temple unfolds the charm and prettiness of the town before the beholder. From here one can catch a glittering glimpse of the entire surroundings. One has to climb 150 steps to have Lord Muruga Darshan.

Aadi Krithika festival is the major festival celebrated in this temple, during which the main shrine and the temple are decorated with garlands and lights. This festival is celebrated for 8 days when Lord Subrahmanya Swamy and his consorts Sri Valli and Devasena are taken out for a procession on different Vahanams.
The Aadi Krithika festival concludes with Theppotsavam and Kalyanotsavam that are conducted on the 7th and 8th day respectively.
