The Samba Purana is one of the Saura Upapuranas and is dedicated to Lord Surya Bagawan. Tells the story of Krishna’s son, Samba, who became a leper after being cursed by Rishi Durvasa and was therefore cured by worshiping the Sun Temple of Konark built by him on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River in Mitravana. 1. Surya Ashtakam is really refreshing to the mind and body and those who recite early morning standing before lord Surya bhagawan feels radiance if his Kiranam Shakti as we cannot directly see him more than a second due to his too much light which a naked can not tolerate so one way he proves he is Bhagwan who gives light to the universe.
