Religious enthusiasm and grandeur marked the Shobha Yatra of “Godavari Pushkara Sare” in Tirumala on Thursday.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao alongside Tirumala Joint Executive Officer Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju participated in this parade which began from Srivari sanctuary to Vaibhavotsava Mandapam.
Later while speaking with media, the Executive Officer said, Turmeric, vermilion, silk saree will be presented to Godavari River on behalf of Sri Venkateshwara Swamy on the first day of Maha Pushkaram.
“These consecrated blessing things will reach Rajamundry on 11th July on the Srivari Dharma Radham covering the neighborhood sanctuaries in Tiruchanoor, Srikalahasti, Nellore, Amaravathi, Anantavaram, Mangalagiri, Vijayawada and Dwaraka Tirumala. Shobha Yatra Radham will will be halted for 60 minutes in all these places for the pilgrims before coming to Rajamundry.
On 14th July the saree and other holy items will be presented to river Godavari on the first day of Pushkarams, the EO said.
The EO additionally said, TTD has made intricate arrangements plans for the huge occasion. “Our copy sanctuary shaped up very well.
He also said around 50 to 70,000 pilgrim are expected to have darshan of Srivaru after the Pushkara snanam.
