About Iskcon Leipzig:
Our Hare Krishna movement (ISKCON) was founded by Indian spiritual teacher Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in New York. He shared his knowledge of the soul, the world and Krishna that he had received through a line of teachers of the Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition, with all those who wanted to hear it. Through this philosophy, whose path and purpose is loving devotion and their loving appearance, some have begun to incorporate these ideas into their lives.
What started as a small group of friends quickly became an international community that, since the 1970s, has also found its way to Germany.
Teachers, students, artists, artisans and other people from all backgrounds come together to laugh, learn and love together.
Because despite all the differences, we see ourselves as friends and disciples of AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who transmitted the teaching of Krishna Consciousness, taught by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and we invite everyone to discover the network that ‘he created.
