ISKCON Center for Vedic Studies Bucharest is a non-governmental organization – a spiritual educational center dedicated to sharing the experience of self-transformation on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. At the Center for Vedic Studies, we are inspired by the life and teachings of Șrila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada — the great spiritual master in the Bhakti-yoga tradition, who brought the Vedic culture to the Western world.

The Vedic Studies Center offers a wide range of workshops, courses, audio and video resources, and spiritual publications based on the culture and philosophy of Vedic scriptures. The word Veda comes from the Sanskrit language, spoken in ancient India, and means science and knowledge. Vedic scriptures such as Bhagavad Gita, Șrimad Bhagavatam, Upanishads and other ancient manuscripts are considered the original source of authentic knowledge about yoga, karma, reincarnation, meditation, the relationship between the individual soul and the Supreme Soul, and other transcendental topics. By attending the spiritual discourses, eating delicious vegetarian dishes, and participating in kirtan (meditative incantation of mantras and Divine names), our guests can fully experience the spiritual atmosphere of the Vedic culture.

We live in an age that gives us extraordinary facilities and an enormous amount of information. However, even the technology designed for our well-being often serves only to isolate us from one another and distance us from experiencing all that is truly divine. The weekly programs of the Center for Vedic Studies ISKCON Bucharest offer all spiritual aspirants the opportunity to meet new people, to make lasting relationships and to find inspiration and support in the path of spiritual advancement.
