South India is the Treasure House of many temples, among them Vasavi Temple is one of the greatest shrine located at the heart of Bangalore- 8th cross, Malleswaram. Malleswaram Arya Vysya Sangham (MAVS) was formed in 1927, those days only 9 vysya houses were present in malleswaram it stretched land area of 140 x 160 which is received from the city Improvement Trust board in 1929 and constructed the Temple. In early 1934 Idols of Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari, Sri Satyanarayana Swamy, Ganesha and Navagrahas were mounted and the temple was Inaugurated. Till 1993 Vasavi Temple and MAVS were well known for temple and as spiritual organization from 1993 MAVS is no more a small spiritual organisation. Today MAVS is one of the out standing temple organizations in south India to perform rituals, spiritual, philosophical, medical, educational , social ,cultural and Philanthropic activities in a exemplary manner. Moving forward MAVS constructed Sri Srikanteshwara Swamy Temple and Siva Lingam and Nithya Abhisheka Lingam are installed and inaugurated in vasavi temple premises in 2002 and all seva and poojas in this temple will be organised and conducted by ‘Veda Barmha’ Sri Suresha Shrama and his team.

Malleswaram Arya Vysya Sangha

Malleswaram is one of the prominent cultural Hub of Karnataka and well know for its grand and festive celebrations for all traditions and different cultures of the present society. Vasavi Temple is one which doesn’t deny in maintaining, protecting and respecting the traditions and cultures .Vasavi Temple Management celebrates all Hindu festivals like Ugadi, Sri Ramanavami, Sri krishna Janmastami, Sankarathi, Mahashivaratri, Vasavi Jayanthi, Dasara, Diwali, Vasavi Atmarpana Day etc and temple is ornamented with special flowers, thoranas ,Special Poojas and sevas including Sangeetha seva is performed in all temples of Vasavi Temple complex. Every day along with Archana , Sahasranama, Mantrapushpam, Abhisheka Sevas all idols in the complex, Management & Archaka Brundam also performs the Go-Pooja (worshiping Holy Cow) .

Beauty of goddess Vasavi’s idol is magnified with exquisite garments for appropriate occasions which is managed by the Chief Priest ‘Veda Bramha’ Sri Dr. Suthram Nagaraj shastry & his dedicated team of purohits. Special decorations take place on all Fridays and also on festival days. Astounding- goddess vasavi is worshiped by lakhs of vysya and non vysyas. Goddess is always abundantly showering boons and fulfilling the desires of all her devotes.
