About Phulera Dooj:
Mathura and Vrindavan, both well-known pilgrimage spots for Lord Krishna Bhakts hold great significance for Phulera Day. This auspicious day falls on Shukla Paksha Dwitiya during the Phagun month in accordance with Hindu Calendar of India.
The Phulera Dooj festival occurs every year between two auspicious festivals of Vasant Panchami and Holi. Owing to its apt timing, Hindu temples often depict Lord Krishna taking part in the festival of colors i.e. Holi.
Sometimes you might come across Phulera Dooj being spelled as Phulera Duj. Based upon astrological inputs, it is believed that this auspicious day is bereft of any defects or Dosha, a reason why Muhurat timing for auspicious work is not looked upon during the entire period of Phulera Dooj. However, not all believe in this a reason why many astrologers are known to not believe in this hence not all websites consider Phulera Day as Dosha free.
