Vidyarambham is a traditional festival of Hindus in south india especially in Kerala & Karnataka on Vijayadashami Festival day. For Vidyarambham children are formally introduced to learning music, dance, languages and other popular arts.
It is a ceremony of initiation to the characters of the syllabary. In Odisha, it is known as Khadi Chuan and is celebrated mainly in Ganesh Chaturthi and Vasant Panchami.
