16 February 2015 Srinivasa Mangapuram, Tirupati: After taking a extremely bright ride on Suryaprabha Vahanam on the bright sunny day morning on Monday, Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy took a pleasant ride on the Chandra Prabha Vahanam in the evening at Srinivasa Mangapuram Temple near Tirupati.
In Vedias, Chandra means brain and mind, emotions and sensitivity, softness and imagination. The moon is considered as a planet and in reality one of the best planets to be born under as it promises wealth and happiness.
In the ‘Purusha Sukta’ of Rigveda it is mentioned that Chandra the moon was born from the mind of the Virat Purusha-God represented as the entire universe, who is none other than Sri Maha Vishnu himself. So it becomes relevant that Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy to take a holy ride on Chandra Prabha vahanam during this annual brahmotsavams giving a soothing, chill-thrill to his devotees.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam JEO Mr.Pola Bhaskar, VGOS Mr.Raveendra Reddy, DyEO Mr.Sridhar, AEO Mr.Dhanajeyulu, Temple Staff and large number of devotees took part in the event.
