Sri Ramanujacharya Millennial Year Celebration is on May 2016 through April 2017.
One Saturday each month through April 30, 2017 Between 09:45 AM to 1:30 PM.
Sri Ramanujaacharya Millennial Year Celebration includes a special program commemorating Ramanujaacharya, the famous South Indian philosopher who advocated Vishishta Advaita philosophy and fostered the bhakti movement in South India. He advocated devotional worship of Lord Vishnu in any form as the ideal method to attain salvation or moksha.
On one Saturday each month (see schedule on next page), a special celebration will be performed involving abhishekam of Ramanujacharya’s utsava moorthy while chanting the Taitriya Upanishad, closely associated with Sri Vaishnava philosophy. Later in the morning, there will be Prabhanda Parayanam procession inside the temple while singing the praises of Ramanujacharya.
9:45 AM – 11:00 AM Balaji Abhishekam (including Ramanuja utsava murthy abhishekam) Chanting of Pancha Sukhtam, Taitriya Upanishad, etc.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Dhati Panchakam Ramanujacharya utsava murthy taken in procession around temple.
