Kushmanda The fourth Avatar of goddess Durga. She is adored and worshiped on the 4th day of Navratri. She lives in the home of the Sun God, so her tone and her spending are as bright as the sun itself. It’s her spendour that permeates every plant and creature in this universe. The ten pieces are illuminated by their divine radiance.
Kushmanda Durga is represented by lord Surya the sun god, the king of the universe.
The name Kushmanda is composed of three other words that are “Ku + Ushma + Amnda = Kushmanda”. Here “Ku” is “Small”, “Ushma” is “Heat or Energy” and “Anda” is “Egg”, which means that who created the universe as “Little Cosmic Egg” with the energy of His Divine Smile, This is called “Kushmanda”.
When this universe was non-existent and darkness prevailed everywhere, it was Maa Kushmaandaa who produced the Cosmic Egg with her mere smile. So Maa Kushmanda is also known as the creator the whole universe. Maa Kushmanda is also named as “Adi Shakti”.
She is the only one goddess who has the power and the strength to live in the heart of Suryaloka. Her body shines like the shining sun. All directions are illuminated with his divine smile, including the sun god. Maa Kushmanda is also known as “Ashtabhuja”, as he is often depicted with eight arms. In her seven hands, she holds Kamandalu, Bow, Arrow, Lotus, a pot of Nectar, Discus and Mace. In her eighth hand she holds a mala capable of giving 8 Siddhis and 9 Niddhis. She rides a lion that represents “Dharma”. By worshiping, ailments and sorrows are eliminated and life, name, strength and health are improved.
Mother Kushmaandaa is the one who gives all the pleasures. His adoration and worship free a person from all kinds of ills and bring him on the path of prosperity and pleasure. So devotees should adore her and worship him with a purified mind and intellect.

Which means that the goddess Kushmanda, who holds two jars full of Madira and Blood in her lotus hands, will be propitious to me.
The Goddess Kushmanda is the Mother of the Sun. She creates the entire universe and the solar system. Devotees should worship her to succeed in her creation. Devotees, who have a bad Sun in their natal chart, should worship Kushmanda Devi.
