Tirupati Navaratri Brahmotsavam is an annual festival at Lord Venkateswara temple which is celebrated for nine days in September and October.
This year Sri Venkateswara Swamy Navaratri Brahmotsavams will be celebrated from October 6 to October 15. Folklore stories trace the origin of this celebration to Brahma, the Creator God, who first led this festival to Sri Balaji on Tirumala Hills. Brahma worshiped Sri Balaji on the shores of holy Pushkarini in Tirupati as a way of thanking mankind for the protection of the Lord. Hence, this utsava bears its name as “Brahmotsavam”, which means “Utsavam of Brahma”. Tirupati Navaratri Brahmotsavam is celebrated every year for nine days with different types of Vahana Sevas.
