Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Temple is a famous temple located on the top of Indrakiladri hill on the banks of the Krishna River. Here Goddess Parvathi is worshipped as Sri Kanakadurgeswari and Lord Shiva as Sri Malleswara Swamy. The main diety Kanaka Durga is Swayambhu.
There is no strict Dress Code any decent outfit is allowed. It takes 30 to 45 mins during weekdays, 45 to 60 mins during weekends and 2 to 3 hours during festivals for Darshan.
Anna Prasadam’s timings are from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pulihora, Rice, Pappu (Dal), Curry, Chutney, Sambar, Buttermilk, and Bellam Pongal is the menu.
Free Prasadam is offered to all devotees from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Daddhojanam, Kattu Pongali, Pulihora, Bellam Pongali and Sanagalu are offered.
Daddhojanam is offered to night halt pilgrims at 9:00 PM.
