108 Names Of Budha Lyrics in Kannada and Meaning | 108 Names Of Mercury Mantra

Budha graha is a Sanskrit word that connotes the planet Mercury. Budha, in puranic Hindu mythology, is also a deity.
He is also known as Soumya (Sanskrit: सौम्य, lit. son of Moon), Rauhineya and Tunga.

Mercury represents the intellect or Buddhi, the capacity for discrimination, communication, language, learning, youth, childhood, games, sports and friends. Mercury has a constant desire to learn, but it also creates a duality in the mind, always comparing between pairs of opposites. The Moon represents the subconscious or emotional mind, but Mercury represents the purely analytical and rational mind.

A strong and well-located Mercury indicates strong intelligence and learning ability, oral and written communication skills, and good speech.

Mercury, when it is too strong or predominant, can lead to repressing emotions with reason and can generate a very critical nature.

A weakly placed Mercury can cause a person to rely more on their emotions and instinct than on their reason, and can lead to learning, speech, skin, and nervous system difficulties and diminish their ability to retain knowledge.

Mercury can behave like a beneficial or evil planet based on its association with other planets. A person may have good intelligence, but use it selfishly and destructively if it is affected by evil planets.

Physically, it represents the skin and respiratory tract, and it has a vata or an airy Ayurvedic constitution.
