26-03-2016, Tirupati: Pushpayaga Mahotsava on 3rd April, Ankurarpanam on 2nd April for Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy in Srinivasa Mangapuram. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer Dr D Samabasiva Rao and tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar has released the posters in his office. All projects special officer Mr. N Muktheswara Rao and Temple DyEO Sri Venkataiah were also present at the poster release. This is an important religious festival in the Sri Vaishnava Sampradayam.
For the most part, this utsavam is led to conciliate the god-like to spare the humanity from common disasters, for example, cyclones, famine, earth quake etc. This utsavam is usually conducted on sravana nakshatram day the birth star of Lord Venkateswara. Veda Sathumurai’ and ‘Santhi Manthra’ recitation will also be performed seeking peace and tranquility in the world.
Prior in the day, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed to the processional divinities of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara and His Consorts at Kalyana Mandapam inside the yagasala premises between 10:30 am to 12 twelve.
Later, the ruler alongside His consorts will be given a botanical shower with about 6 tons of blossoms including 18 assortments from 2.30pm to 5pm. Later, unjal seva and veedi utsavam takes after Pushpayagam at night.
In the mean time TTD performed Pushpayagam without precedent for the historical backdrop of the Srinivasa Mangapuram sanctuary in the year 2008. Paying so as to will grihastas can partake in this seva Rs.516/ – on which two individuals are permitted.
