First visiting Kanipakam and then coming to Srikalahasti to perform Rahu Kethu pooja will be perfect. If want to visit on your way back then stay in Sri Kalahasthi for that day and after a head bath, get the clothes washed and dry and then go to Kanipaka the next day.
