Banaswadi Anjaneya Temple or Dodda Banaswadi Temple is located at Dodda Banaswadi Road, Bangalore East taluk under Bangalore district, Karnataka. This ancient temple is said to be over 150 years old. This place is a well-known bustling town located northeast of Bengaluru about 6 km away. From the city center.
The Hanuman statue was sculptured in Saligrama town, located between Kundapura and Udupi. The deity is 4ft in tall looks very magnificent and is installed by Saint Guru Sri Vyasaajaru. The temple was constructed 100 years ago in the Dravidian Style of architecture. and was designed by the late Sri Kempegowda.
Other deities like Lord Ganapathi, Sri Venkateshwara Swamy, Sri Rama, Lord Shiva, Basaveshwara and Lord Rama are installed. On Saturdays and on festival days a large number of devotees visit this temple. Hanuman Jayanthi and Sri Rama Navami are the main festivals celebrated in a grand manner. Annadanam is served on Saturdays and Sundays where nearly 2000 people take part in this program. The is no strict dress code, any traditional Dress is allowed. Regular Archana’s and poojas are performed every day.
