About Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple:
Open to all, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir opened in August 2007 after just 17 months of work, with 1.3 million volunteer hours. The Mandir is composed of 3 types of stone (Turkish limestone, Italian marble and Indian sandstone). More than 34,000 individual pieces were hand carved in India, sent to the United States. And assembled in Lilburn as a giant puzzle in three dimensions.

Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple VISIT:
For individuals and families: Mandir is open to everyone and admission is free. Individuals and families are not required to book their visit in advance. Visiting hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. The best time to come and see is from 9.00 AM to 12:00 and from 15:30 to 18:00
Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple Audioguide:
Upon arrival, visit the bookstore to get your audio guide. People and families can now stroll through the magnificent Mandir while navigating a fascinating audio installation. The audio guide contains detailed information about the different functions of Mandir. At your own pace, discover the importance of a Hindu Mandir, the fascinating story of the construction of the Mandir, the Hindu feelings for each of the sacred images, the importance of Hindu rituals, the significance of certain architectural designs and more again. more . The audio guide is now available in English, Spanish, Chinese and German. The fees apply: $ 5.00 / unit.
Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple Guided Tours for Groups:
A guided tour of the Mandir is offered to groups of more than 10 people with advanced bookings from Monday to Saturday.
Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple NILKANTH VARNI ABHISHEK MANDAPAM:
Nilkanth Varni Abhishek Mandapam is located on the ground floor of the Mandir. This sacred part of the Mandir invites all visitors to participate in the ritual “Abhishek” in the midst of prayers and mantras. By participating in the “Abhishek” ritual with devotion and faith, personal prayers and inner desires are fulfilled for oneself or one’s loved ones; good health, happiness, prosperity, peace, spiritual blessing or success in life and experiencing peace. Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the spiritual leader of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, dedicated this murti of Nilkanth Varni in 2007.
The times of Abhishek Mandapam are:

Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple ARTI CEREMONY:
One of the highlights of a visit to the Mandir is to attend the midday Arti ceremony which takes place every day at 11:15 AM. This is an ancient Hindu offering made by stirring bright wicks in front of the sacred images, accompanied by a musical prayer. Many visitors described the experience as impressive.
Keep in mind that there are separate seats for men and women at the Arti ceremony. All visitors must respect these provisions during the Arti ceremony.
Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple SHAYONA SWEETS AND SNACK CENTER:
Why not complete your visit with a meal at the Shayona Food Center? With its vegetarian cuisine, Shayona is the perfect way to discover traditional and authentic flavors of India. You can choose from several menu options to sit or take, including a wide selection of candies and snacks. Shayona is open from 11:00 to 20:00 every day.
Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple PHOTOGRAPHY:
The photograph or video for personal use may be taken from the ground outside the Mandir only. We ask visitors to help us preserve the sanctity of the Mandir by not taking any picture or video in the Mandir. Please note that photography or video shooting inside the mandir is strictly forbidden. No photography or professional photo shoot is allowed with photographic equipment.
Atlanta Shri Swaminarayan Temple DONATIONS:
Visitors wishing to donate for the maintenance of the Mandir or for BAPS charities in areas as diverse as education, environment, welfare, medicine, heritage preservation and uplift spiritual Reception inside the Mandir. Checks can be done on behalf of BAPS. A tax receipt will be issued.
Dress Code & other Information:
Dress Code: All clothing should cover the shoulders and knees (bandages are provided). Please leave all your belongings / backpacks in your vehicle.
Conduct: Cell phones must be turned off in the Mandir. Please observe the silence and avoid touching or leaning against the delicate sculptures of the Mandir.
Photography and Videography: Personal use photography can be taken from the ground, outside the Mandir only. There is no photo or video inside the Mandir. No photography or professional photo shoot is allowed with photographic equipment.
Food and Drinks: Please refrain from eating, drinking, chewing gum or feeding the baby in the Mandir. Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the complex.
Accessibility: The facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please park the strollers in front of the Mandir.
Smoking: Smoking, alcohol, drugs and tobacco products are banned throughout the complex.
Pets: Pets are not allowed inside the complex. (Authorized service dogs in most areas, except sacred spaces used for prayer and meditation).
