About Charlotte Sai Mandir:
Shirdi Sai Baba is a spiritual master whom his followers regard as an incarnation of God (avatar), saint, fakir and satguru. Sai Baba lived between 1838 and 1918. It is said that Pathri is the birthplace of Sai. According to Sai Satcharita, Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi village in Ahmednagar district, India, when he was about 16 years old. The first temple of Sai Baba is located in Kudal, Sindhudurg. This temple was built in 1922. It is believed that Sai Baba gave Dada Madye ji a rupee with which he built the temple in Kudal.
His ingrained philosophy “Shraddha”, which means faith, and “Saburi”, which means compassion. According to him, Shraddha and Saburi were the supreme attributes to attain the state of piety. Baba has helped bring unity and harmony to all communities. He said that God is one, but that He receives different names. He said: follow your own religion and look for the truth.
Saibaba’s mission was to restore belief in God and, according to him, “I give people what they want with the hope that they will begin to want what I want to give them (the knowledge of the Ultimate) “. Then he taught total alighting values to the Almighty Master (ALLAH MALIK EK – The Only One) and experienced his grace. His most concise message for everyone was “Why fear when I am here”.
Miracles of Sai Baba:
The disciples and devotees of Sai Baba claim that he performed many miracles such as bilocation, levitation, mental reading, materialization, exorcism, entering into a state of Samadhi at will, illuminating the lamps, removing their limbs or their intestines. (khandana) yoga), healing the incurable patients, seeming beaten when they hit another, preventing a mosque from falling on people and helping their followers miraculously.
Below are the eleven sayings of Shri Saibaba of Shirdi that has been the guiding principles for millions of his devotees across the world.
1) No harm shall befall him who sets his foot on the soil of Shirdi.
2) He who comes to My Samadhi, his sorrow and suffering shall cease.
3) Though I be no more in flesh and blood, I shall ever protect My devotees.
4) Trust in Me and your prayer shall be answered.
5) Know that My Spirit is immortal. Know this for yourself.
6) Show unto Me he who sought refuge and been turned away.
7) In whatever faith men worship Me, even so do I render to them.
8) Not in vain is My Promise that I shall ever lighten your burden.
9) Knock and the door shall open. Ask and you shall be granted.
10) To him who surrenders unto Me totally I shall be ever indebted.
11) Blessed is he who has become one with Me.
About the Temple:
The Charlotte Sai Baba Temple is registered as a non-profit charitable organization located in the metropolitan area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The main purpose of the Charlotte Sai Temple is to provide similar worship services to Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir in Shirdi, India. This organization is dedicated to sponsoring and supporting religious, spiritual, cultural and educational activities in the United States and abroad.
The Charlotte Sai Baba Temple has been organizing worship services since its inception. Sai Pallaki Yatra is held every month in different communities of Charlotte, where Baba is transported in a majestic palanquin procession. The padukas of Baba, the image and Satka would be taken in the Palki as a procession. Once the construction of the Charlotte Sai Baba Temple is completed, a special worship will be held every Thursday night, including Samoohika Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayana, Shri Sai Ashtothara, Sri Sai Satcharita Parayana, Bhajans / Kirtans and Shej. Arati followed by Mahaprasad.
In addition, all major religious functions such as Sri Rama Navami, Guru Purnima, Gokul Ashtami, Maha Shivaratri, Samadhi Day of Baba and Datta Jayanti are celebrated with great devotion.
With the grace of Baba, temple administrators bought about 35.5 acres of land in Indian Trail, North Carolina, and performed Ground Breaking Cermony on October 2, 2016, and more than 1,000 Sai Baba worshipers attended the event.
The temple is being designed considering Hindu Vaastu principals and shall take advantage of prevailing environment for both natural energy as well as energy efficiency. Additionally the building shall be designed considering phased construction and future expansion capabilities. The project design will include spaces required for the temple based on the program provided by the temple trustees and other ancillary spaces required for the function of the temple. The other objectives of the Shridi Sai Temple in Charlotte are to promote the philosophy of community harmony and the well-being of all Baba beings. carry out charitable activities such as medical assistance; provide assistance to people affected by natural disasters; organize shelters for the homeless; organize the feeding of indigents and others (Annadanam); translate, print, publish or distribute books, periodicals and literatures to promote the purpose and objectives of the organization; sponsor or support charitable, religious, spiritual, cultural or educational activities or organizations in the United States and abroad.
