Chevvai dosham is also known as Khuja Dosha, Mangal Dosha, Mangala, Manglik and Bhoumi dosha. It is formed when Mars is placed in 1st,( 2nd some scholars exclude this house), 4th, 7th, 8th or 12 house in a birth chart counted from the Lagna. Same house Nos when counted from Moon Chart. By this almost 80% of the population becomes affected by Mangal dosha and the persons will be called Manglik. However, reciprocally the Dosha gets cancelled under 10 exemptions granted i Astrology that too reaches to 80%. Practically almost all such Mangal Doshas get cancelled. Then there is no need to get scared of this dosha and reject a marriage proposal which is otherwise worth accepting. If a mangal dosha does not get cancelled under the give exemptions, the it can be removed by performing Kumbha vivah, Vishnu Vivah or Aaswat Vivah. So Mangal Dosha shall lie dormant in the books and minds of unscrupulous Astrologers.
