On Saturday the doors of Lord Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala were closed before six hours before Chandra Grahanam as per age old tradition.
The Tirumala Malayappa Temple was closed till 8.00 pm and was opened after suddhi, punyahavachanam and all other purification rituals. The Chandra Grahanam was observed between 3:45 pm to 8.00 pm.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has cancelled all rajithagiri sevas, RS.50, Rs.300, Divya darshan tickets from 3rd April 6.00 pm to 4th April 6.00 pm. All darshans were started after 8.00 pm on Saturday.
TTD Executive Officer Dr Sambasiva Rao, Temple DyEO Mr.Chinnamgari Ramana, ACVSO Mr.Sivakumar Reddy, Temple Peishkar Sri R.Selvam and others were present at the occatation.
