On Tuesday evening the Andhra Pradesh Governor Sri Narasimhan has joined in the 512th Vardhanthi Mahotsavam of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya at Narayana Gardens in Tirumala.
The processional deities of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sri Devi and Bhu Devi reached the beautiful Narayana gardens and seated on the beautifully decorated floral swing and the festival started at started at 6.00 pm.
Popular vocalists and Senior artistes of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Annamacharya Project rendered the Sapthagiri Sankeertanalu composed by Annamacharya including Bhavamulona, podagantimayya, Enta Matramuna, Brahma kadigina, Muddugare, Narayanate, Kondalalo, Dinamu Dwadasi Nedu songs in a melodious way.
The 46th Sri Ranganatha Yatindra Mahadesikan Swamy from Ahobila Mutt in his religious address on this event recalled the impeccable providers rendered by Saint poet. He said Annamacharya dedicated his entire life in the service of Lord Srinivasa through his great works and attained salvation. “Even For those who does not know the Telugu language, the lyrics and melody in the phrases of telugu spells magic on everybody. It’s an awesome opportunity to hear the melodious compositions of Sri Annamacharya on this event”, he maintained.
The TTDs Eo Dr D.Sambasiva Rao in his speech stated, to date out of 32000 keertans penned by Saint poet only 14000 can be found and Ttd has composed tunes for 1700 songs.
