Sri Siddeswara Swamy Temple is an ancient Shiva Temple located in Hemavathi, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Hemavathi was the capital city of the Noolamba Pallava dynasty. This temple has both Pallava and Chola’s style of architecture. In this temple, Lord Shiva appears in Human form and is also a very rare idol. The idol is 6 feet tall.
Lord Shiva as Siddeswara, a physical type of Lord Shiva in reflection pose, is in this temple. In all seasons, the rays of the sun of the sunset season come into contact with the substance of Lord Shiva.
Noolamba artists beautifully sculptured the temple walls and pillars inside the mandap. Of the four temples Siddheswara, Virupaksheswara, Malleswara and Doddeswara, the last is famous for its six-foot-tall Siva Linga. The walls are covered with carved images and tell the stories of the great epics Mahabharata and Ramayana. Nandi at the temple entrance is made of black granite and is 8 feet long and 4 feet high.
Maha Shivaratri, Karthika Pournami and Rathotsavam are the main festivals. There is no temple accommodation available, so one has to stay at nearby hotels.

This temple has four famous Shiva shrines which were built and frequented by the Pallavas during the 7th and 8th centuries. Hemavathi was the capital of the Noolamba Pallava dynasty, a small dynasty that rules 32,000 villages. This temple had a glorious time during the period of King Raja Mahendra of the Noolamba dynasty. This temple has both Pallava and Chola styles of temple architecture.
