El Salvador has had Srila Prabhupada’s pity since 1975, when Mahajara Mahabhagavat met with the Hare Krishna Movement. Established officially at a temple in 1978, devotees began to make Harinamas and Sankirtana in the capital of El Salvador, San Salvador.
In 1980, the deities of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai arrived in El Salvador at Janmashtami, a year later, Srila Prabhupada’murti arrived.
In addition, during this period, the devotees of El Salvador suffered a civil war from 1980 to 1992. But the sincere devotion to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada kept them in the worship of His holy feet.
For many years, the El Salvador Temple has been moved from one place to another. At the beginning of the pressure of civil war and after him do not account for a property of his own. In fact, the temple is located in Santa Tecla, La Libertad, and has regular activities for all the interesting people who want to know Krishna or God himself.
