Puri Jagannath Ratha Yatra or Puri Ratha Yatra or Puri Chariot Festival or Car Festival is a grand festival dedicated to Lord Jagannath in Odisha, India. Held annually at Ashada Shukla Paksha, which draws millions of devotees from all over the world.
This festival commemorates Lord Jagannath’s annual visit to the famous “Gundicha Temple” passing through “Mausi Maa Temple” located near Balagandi Chaka in Puri. During Puri Rath Yatra, the main deities of the temple, Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra are brought in their respective chariots in a grand procession.
