Sahasra Deepalankara Seva:
Sahasra Deepalankara (1000 Diyas decoration) Seva is the only daily Seva that is performed outside the temple. The Seva is performed in the Unjal mandapam located on the southeastern corner of the Srivari Temple everyday evening from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Sri Malayappa Swami along with Sridevi and Bhudevi is seated in an Unjal in the midst of the lamps and after the Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva, lord Venkateshwara and his consorts are taken on a procession along the four Mada streets surrounding the temple, before he is taken inside the temple complex.
About Sahasra Deepalankara:
Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is one of the main daily rituals for Mula Virat in the Tirumala Venkateswara temple. This Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is performed at Unjal Mandapam. Sahasra Deepalankarana means: 1000 lamps are lit in Unjal Mandapam. In this Seva, the idols of the Lord and their wives participate in the procession. After that, these idols put on the Unjal in Unjal Mandapam. The temple priests chant the mantras, Annamayya Sankirthanas are also sung during this Seva, group dance is also held.
After completing Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva Lord Malayappa swami also his goddesses are taken on a procession on streets surrounding the main temple before the idols are taken inside the temple complex.
Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva Dress Code:
The dress code is compulsory for Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva. TTD employees carefully check all devotee’s dress at the entry.
For Men: Kurta Pajamas or Pancha dhoti.
For Women: Half-sari, Saree with a blouse, Punjabi or Chudidhar with Dupatta.

Sahasra Deepalankarana ticket price is Rs.200 for one ticket.

2 small Laddus, one upper silk cloth or one blouse piece is distributed as Prasadam.

Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva’s Online ticket booking process is very simple. TTD launches 125 tickets for Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva for online reservations. In addition, the remaining tickets are available at the CRO office in Tirumala. After this Seva, the pilgrims are allowed sent to Lord Venkateswara darshan through the Supatham entrance.
If you have a recommendation letter for this Seva, you must contact Tirumala EO or JEO. Pilgrims should submit the recommendation letter an hour before the JEO office. The letter will be verified correctly, and an SMS will be sent to the devotee. The devotees can collect their Sahasra Deepalankarana tickets from MBC 24 by displaying the message with a photo identification proof. The Seva tickets should be collected before 5:00 AM by paying the cost of the ticket at a counter.
