The Sri Sri Nitai Navadvipacandra Temple and the Vedic Studies Center are part of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) founded in 1966 by Sri Srimad A.C. Bhakivedanta Prabhupada. Since its inception, the company has built several hundred temples, farms, restaurants and schools around the world. The deities of the temple were installed in 1993 and, after almost 18 years, they left Jílová 290 in Prague 5 – Zličín to go to the village of Lužce (near Beroun).
