About Tirupati Sri Sri Radha Govinda temple:
Tirupati ISKCON temple is one of the largest ISKCON projects in south India.
Over the years, ISKCON has grown in the field of popular spirituality around the world and is now recognized by theologians, scholars, students and lay people as an authentic and important organization for protecting and preserving the world. spiritual well-being of all. The reason is twofold: In the first place, ISKCON spiritual master and founder Acharya. His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada was a spiritual leader of substantiality and purity. As a representative of the unbroken chain of Lord Sri Krishna’s disciplinary succession Himself, Srila Prabhupada is celebrated as the first representative of Vedic knowledge and culture of that time.
Secondly, the philosophy and lifestyle of the devotees in the Krishna Consciousness movement are firmly rooted according to the teachings of Srimad Bhagavatam – As It Is and Srimad Bhagavad-Gita.
It was in 1974-75; His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada visited Tirupati-Tirumala as a special guest of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. During his stay in Tirumala, Srila Prabhupada was extremely happy to have the Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara. He was also happy to see hundreds and thousands of pilgrim devotees visiting the divine place daily.
During his discussion with Sri Sagi Suryanarayana Raju, then Minister of AP Endowments, Srila Prabhupada pointed out that T.T.D. he should take steps to propagate and relaunch the message of the Bhagavad-Gita, immediately on a large scale. His Divine Grace said that this is the only way to bring peace and harmony to the whole world. From T.T.D.
