ISKCON Nellore runs various preaching programs such as home programs, public programs, university programs and Nagara Sankirtan, book distribution, Prasad distribution to prisons, orphanages, homes for the elderly and schools. Harinama Sankirtan in the temples and meetings on request to distribute the Holy Name. The class for young people will be held for students every Sunday at 16:00. at 18:00 and youth camps, workshops, seminars, etc. will be organized. on holiday.
Srila Prabhupada traveled to Nellore on January 3, 1976. Srila Prabhupada was on his way to Hyderabad after completing a program in Chennai. His elder disciples, H.H Tamala Krishna Goswami Maharaja, H.H. Brahmanada Swami, H.H. Achyutananda Swami and H.G. Hari Souri Dasa and many others accompanied him during Nellore’s visit. Srila Prabhupada stayed in Nellore from January 3rd to 8th. During the visit, Srila Prabhupada met with many prominent leaders of the city and Rebala Sujathamma offered to donate the land for the construction of the temple. The ceremony of placing the cornerstone was also performed by Srila Prabhupada on the site then proposed.
