தில்லை அம்பல நடராஜா Meaning:
The one who adorns the ganges! The charming one revered by everyone! The handsome one who dances with his Salangai clad feet! The ultimate one who manifests as the Linga! I surrender unto your feet! You are forever my support!
The lord of dance, Nataraja, who performs on the stage amidst the Thillai forests, (who presides the Thillai Nataraja Temple as the Thillai Koothan ) The lord of affluence, Oh supreme lord! The lord who resolved all my distresses, come, come! The one who is the sweet elixir of life!
For happiness to be omnipresent, Grace us, Oh Umapathy (Lord Parvathy’s husband, one of the names of Lord Shiva) Grant us the boon for all weaknesses to vanish, come come, for us to flourish exceedingly!
