Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple is a popular and ancient temple located on Tirumala hills, Tirupati, Andhrapradesh.
It is the most visited and richest Hindu temple in the world. He is an incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu. He is popularly known as Sri Venkateswara Swamy, Balaji, Malayappa, Timmappa, Srinivasa, Govinda and Perumal. Venkateswara means the Lord who destroys the sins of the people.
Sri Venkateswara Swamy is Swayambhu and he is with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi. The temple is located 2500 feet high above sea level on Seshachalam hills. The hills comprise seven peaks representing the temple as the temple of seven hills. The seven peaks are Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrushabhadri, Narayanadri, and Venkatadri. This temple has a 5 Rajagopuram and Golden Abode of Lord Venkateswara Swamy is called Ananda Nilayam.
