The Tirupati Sri Govinda Raja Swamy Temples Annual Brahmotsavam started in a grand manner on Monday.
The Dhwajarohanam ceremony took place in Karkata Lagnam from 9.20 am to 10.00 am in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy Temple.
The yellow cloth with Lord Garuda stamped, the Vahana of Lord Vishnu, was hoisted atop the golden flag post `Dwajasthambham’ which is inside the temple complex amidst the traditional recitation of Vedic mantras by the ancient temple priests.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Chairman Dr C.h.Krishnamurthy, EO Dr D.Samba Siva Rao, JEO Tirupati Mr. P.Bhaskar, VGO Mr. Ravindra Reddy, temple Deputy EO Mr. Chandra Sekhar Pillai, pilgrims and local devotees has joined in this religious ceremony.

Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple is one the most ancient temples located in the center of Tirupati. In 1130 AD Sri Vaishnavaite and Saint Ramanujacharya consecrated this ancient temple.
