Wyra Wyra Ayyappa Swamy Temple also known as Hari Hara Sutha Ayyappa Temple is located in Shanthi Nagar, Wyra, Khammam, Telangana State. This temple was stoned on August 26th, 1994. The origin of Ayyappa Kshetram has been linked to a great devotee Mr. Yandrapudi Krishna Rao Swamy, who is the founder and establisher of this temple. It took 9 months 13 days to complete the initial stage of the main temple with Sri Swamy Ayyappa, and small temples with Lord Ganapathy, Lord Nagaraju, Goddess Malikaapuratthamma around the main temple.
After 4 years, on February 21st, 1999, the 45 feet idol of Sri Abhayanjaneya Swamy has been established by Sri Sri Sri Tridandi China Srimannarayana Jeeyar Swamy. This is the first tallest idol in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh state. Slowly, the temple has been expanded by the contributions from the lakhs of devotees around the country. Sri Sita Ram temple was built in 2002. Temples for Lord Sri Venkateswara and Sri Dwadasa Jyothirlinga Sivalayam were stoned in 2005 and completed in 2008. After that, in 2009, the Sri Shirdi Saibaba temple and Lordess Sri Gnana Saraswathi temple were built.
Devotees especially visit this place for the magnificent Jyothi Darshanam where the idols are decorated with flowers and garlands. The view of the Ayyapan is stunning. It is a quiet and peaceful place. You can feel the spirituality in the atmosphere around you. A must-visit place to calm your mind and soul.
Makara Sankranthi, Ugadi, Vinayaka Chathurthi, Hanuman Jayanthi, Sri Rama Navami, Dassehra are the most important festivals. In Karthika Masam, month-long festive activities are organized.
