Antarvedi Narasimha Swamy Temple History:

As per the Legends, In Kritayuga, the sage Sounaka and his colleagues met in Naimisaranya to prepare Satrayaga during his free time and used to familiarize themselves with the historical and distinguished shrines of India’s from Suta, a quantum narrator. One day, they asked him to talk about the greatness and significance of Antarvedi Shrine and Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. Suta had the pleasure of telling the story that Lord Brahma told the sage Narada.

Once Narada asked Lord Brahma to tell him about the historical context of the Antarvedi, Lord Brahma spoke as follows. The sage Vasista, after mixing the Godavari river branch of Godtam with the sea, established his Lord Brahma ashram to free himself from the sins committed against Lord Sankara, executed Rudrayaga and installed Lord Neela Kantheswara there.

After a while, Raktavilochana, Hiranyaksha’s son, did tremendous penance for ten thousand years on the banks of the Vasishta River, to please Lord Siva and obtain his Grace. Raktavilochana asked him that the amount of sand particles soaked in the drops of blood that fell from his body to the ground during the war would produce the same number of Rakshasa so strong and vigorous that he would follow him after him. and they would help him become and would become one with him after killing all his enemies.

Antarvedi Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple:

Brahma Purana says, In Tretayuga Lord Rama, Lakshmana and Anjaneya worshipped Narasimha Swami in this place after killing Ravana.

In Dwaparayuga, Arjuna king Pandava, worshipped the Lord on his pilgrimage.

According to Legends, at the beginning of Krutaya, Lord Brahma got rid of his sins, executed Yajna here by installing Lord Siva as protector of Yajna. Therefore, the place was named AntarVedi derived from Antar and Vedika.

A fisherman fishing in the Raktakulya River, an idol of Kurma Avatar was hit in his fishing net. He tried very hard to open the idol by treating it like a pearl oyster. After several attempts, he began to hit with a stone. He lost consciousness when the blood flowed from the idol. A divine voice told him to keep this idol at the feet of the Lord and to perform Abhishekam every day. According to the instructions, the fisherman kept the idol at the feet of the Lord.
