15 February 2015 Srinivasa Mangapuram, Tirupati: On the sixth day of Srivari Brahmotsavam at Srinivasa Mangapuram temple, Lord Kalyana Venkateswara charmed the devotees on Gaja Vahanam on the evening. Elephant has been a vehicle of the Lord Kalyana Venkanna Swamy deity in the past.
The richness of hindu mythology lies in its generosity to offer a good place of worship even for varied species of fauna. Starting from Cow to Crow each of those creatures have a revered place in Hindu scriptures. Among these blessed creatures, the mighty elephant occupies a pleasure place being the vahana of Goddess Laxmi Devi, the Consort of Lord Vishnu. To appease His consort as nicely to bless the devotees with prosperity lord takes a pleasure journey on Gaja Vahanam.
