About The Temple:
The Hindu Cultural Center or HCC is located on a 3.4 acre parcel in Stratford, Connecticut, a Templ that can accommodate 200 people, classrooms, a community hall, a kitchen, a large parking and much more. HCC was created to meet the cultural and religious needs of Hindus living in southern CT.
HCC goals are:
Organizes social, cultural and religious events celebrating Hindu festivals and festivities
Promotes awareness of the “Hindu way of life” in us and our neighbors
Develop religious and cultural education programs and debate
Develop community service projects to promote the spirit of generosity in our neighboring communities
Where Indian Americans can meet to continue and celebrate the religious and cultural traditions of our heritage.
Where young people can meet to listen, question and integrate “Hindu” ideals into their daily lives, and to perpetuate the legacy of our cultural heritage.
Where we can promote the wisdom of Hindu philosophy and intercultural appreciation and understanding for all who are interested.
HCC Services:
Besides daily aarti and puja, priest services are provided for functions and ceremonoies like Birthdays, Vahan Puja(Car Puja), Engagement, Bhumi Puja, Gruh Pravesh, Havan, Munden, Naam Karan and Satya Narayan Puja.
The temple also offers weekly classes in Hindi, yoga and pranayam, kathak, Bharatnatyam dance classes and carnatic music classes.
